Some important facts about Nomad Safaris:
Your safari starts when we collect you from Johannesburg or Durban Airports and take you by MPV, 4x4 or car, to the ranch of your choice. Transfer time by road is approximately 5 hours from Johannesburg and 3 hours from Durban. Ranch accommodation is very comfortable and traditionally built in thatch and stone, fully serviced and consists of single, twin or double bedrooms. Our safaris are inclusive of transfers to and from the airport, accommodation, meals drinks and the services of a professional hunter and tracker. Daily itineraries are flexible, but you would normally be hunting early morning and late afternoon. Free time between can be spent relaxing, exploring, or fishing the well-stocked dams found on the ranch.

. . . accommodation
Umkoposi River Lodge 2007
Situated deep in the heart of northern KwaZulu Natal, an area rich in Zulu culture covering 5,000 hectares of mountain valleys and undulating high elevation grass plains. Renowned for it's Nyala Trophies, as well as an enviable list of plains game species, the hunting area offers a truly African experience. The river lodge has been traditionally built in stone and thatch, offering luxury in the bush, with five ensuite lodges overlooking the fast flowing Umkoposi river. The main lodge has a bar, dining area and lounge with a lawn area leading to a raised deck on the edge of the river. With the lodge being centrally positioned, hunters are able to walk out from the lodge for their day's stalking. Several dams in the hunting area will enable keen fishermen to catch large mouth Bass and Tilapia.
